Spalding Labs wants to congratulate Craig Schmersal and Tim McQuay for winning positions on the U.S. Reining Team competing at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.

The Adequan / United States Equestrian Federation National Open Reining Championship was held as part of Battle in the Saddle in Oklahoma City. This July event also served as the selection trial for the U.S. Reining Team.

Craig Schmersal, riding Boom Shernic, marked a composite 444 to win a bronze medal and secure his spot on what is being called the U.S. Dream Team. Tim McQuay marked a 443.5 and won his position on the team riding Hollywoodstinseltown, a finalist at both the NRHA Futurity and Derby.

The World Equestrian Games are being held in the United States for the first time. The event takes place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky September 25th through October 10th. The Games are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports. They are held every four years, two years prior to the Olympic Games, and are governed by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI). The reining portion of the event is currently scheduled for September 25, 26, 28 and 30th.

Spalding Labs has been proud to sponsor both Craig and Tim and have them using and endorsing Fly Predators and Bye Bye Odor.

We wish them great success in September.
