Mike and Sherrylynn went to Rapid City, South Dakota in15 degree weather! And that's not factoring in wind chill. It was so cold they had to buy special diesel fuel for their truck. Driving in that cold of weather is one thing but try saddling or even riding a horse when it’s that cold. The Johnsons prepared by draining all the pipes in the horse trailer before they went. When they fed the horses, the water would freeze within minutes of hanging the bucket of water in their stall.

Mike won 5th at the Champion’s Challenge event at Rapid City.  They drove back and Mike came into the short round in 3rd place at Fort Worth. He placed 6th in the short go and 6th in average. He is 6th in PRCA World Standings for Tie Down Roping for 2014 with over $10,000 won already. What a great start to 2014!

Scooby and Sherrylynn made the progressive round at San Angelo.  Then they headed to San Antonio for Mike to compete on Feb 14 and 15 twice.  Sherrylynn is hoping her Valentines Day surprise is Mike winning the round. Stay tuned for more adventures from the road and … more about Scooby.
